Henry has been managing a growing private investment portfolio since 2015. He leverages his quantitative and technical background to pick out opportunities with genuine alpha. He then constructs these into a portfolio that provides cash flow, capital preservation and growth.
Before dedicating himself to private markets, Henry honed his expertise in algorithmic trading. Together with Nate, he developed a full stack algorithmic trading platform, with his particular emphasis on quantitative modeling. This venture built upon his prior experience at IMC, one of the world's leading High Frequency Trading (HFT) firms. During his tenure at IMC, the company experienced remarkable growth, doubling its workforce while Henry ascended from a junior trader to partner in just six years.
Throughout his trading career, Henry has worn many hats. From team leadership and coaching to tackling complex quantitative challenges and software development. This broad experience has equipped Henry with a unique blend of technology, strategy and people skills.
Henry graduated first in class from Oxford University with a degree in physics. He now lives in Austin, Texas with his wife.
Nate's track record of technology and entrepreneurship started at an early age. After building his first computer at age 12, he started a business modifying the original Xbox to turn it into a full-fledged computer. In high school, he developed an iOS app for the original iPhone that sold thousands of copies.
He graduated from Northwestern University with a double major in computer science and economics. Nate's area of research was in Natural Language Processing, a precursor to today’s large language models such as ChatGPT.
After graduating, Nate became a quantitative trader at IMC, a High Frequency Trading firm. At IMC, he focused on using machine learning and AI to improve trading outcomes.
Together with Henry, Nate successfully bootstrapped a fully automated quantitative trading strategy - a near impossible feat in one of the most competitive industries. Nate's focus was on the technology aspect of the trade which required enterprise quality code and infrastructure.
He currently lives in Boulder, Colorado fulfilling his passion for fitness and the outdoors.
